Why every case is reported against Shopify revenue, not platform ROAS.

Most ecommerce ad agencies report what their dashboard tells them. Platform ROAS in Google Ads, attributed conversions in Meta, last-click revenue in GA4 — every one of those numbers over-reports by 30–80% in a typical Shopify D2C account because of branded-search inflation, PMax cannibalization, retargeting overcount, and last-click attribution bias.

We use Shopify Reports → Sales by traffic referrer as the ground truth. Every case study below uses that number. If the lift isn't visible in your bank account, we don't claim it.

  • Numbers are 9–12 month outcomes — efficiency compounds, it doesn't transform in 30 days
  • CM2 = contribution margin after ad spend (the only number your CFO cares about)
  • MER = total revenue ÷ total ad spend, not platform-attributed
  • CAC = blended new-customer acquisition cost across all paid channels
  • Real ROAS = Shopify-attributed paid revenue ÷ ad spend (never platform-reported)
